The court goes to the allied nation Sarbul so Sariphi can bless King Tet IV and Queen Calra's newborn son, Calcara. However, Calra does not want a human touching her son. They have a feast, but Leonhart and Sariphi retire early and he comforts her when she says Calra looked at her the same empty way her adoptive parents did. When they begin the ceremony, where Sariphi is supposed to hold Calcara and kiss his forehead, Calra pinches Calcara to make him cry and postpone the ceremony. Anubis noticed what she did, but considers this a test for Sariphi. As they decide to try the ceremony tomorrow, the young Princess Tetra offers to give Sariphi a tour of the palace.
