Lunella creates a solution to straighten her hair, but it falls out and becomes sentient. The sentient hair, named Mane, begins to intrude on Lunella's life and plans to create a living hair army with her solution. Lunella comes clean about her botched plan to Adria and Mimi who inform her that she needed neutralizer. Lunella battles Mane, but realizes she took her hair for granted and apologizes. Mane willingly returns to Lunella's head, just in time for picture day, and the latter begins to love herself more.
