Later in the day, the viscountess Clay visits the shop offering to buy the confection he's making for a cobbler's daughter at an exorbitant price, but Kat maintains his policy of not making confections for people he dislikes like Clay. As Clay leaves, Anne notices that the thief is one of her servants...
