Suguro tells the young Ginko that he must always move from place to place due to his condition of attracting mushi. They are in the lands of a dying Mountain Lord and Suguro worries that the new Mountain Lord hasn't yet appeared. Ginko finds the golden egg of the new Mountain Lord but drops and breaks it, condemning the mountain to a period of decline until a new one appears.
