While looking for particularly beautiful fallen leaves, the little brown rabbit finds a strange green thing that he initially mistakes for a small animal. Since the big brown rabbit is taking a nap, he can't ask what animal he found there. The little field mouse that suddenly appears between the leaves doesn't think the spiked thing is an animal. But she doesn't know what it is either. The two ask the little red fox for advice. She doesn't know what it is either. But she thinks the green spikey thing makes a very good back scratcher. When the spiked thing accidentally rolls down the hill, it opens and the friends find something beautiful inside.
