A nameless new shinigami, interested in visiting the human world, visits Ryuk sometime after Kira case has concluded. Receiving an apple from the former, a now blind Ryuk agrees to tell Light's story, but stops at Light's victory over L. The film concludes with the shinigami leaving and setting his sights on the human realm, as Ryuk addresses it as Light.
